Gallup: Obama’s Approval Sinks to All-Time Low — Among Liberals

President Barack Obama’s job approval sunk to an all-time low among liberals in Gallup polling done in the week of Jan. 13 to Jan. 19, according to data released by the polling company.

Sixty-two percent of self-described liberals told Gallup last week they do not approve of the job Obama is doing as president. That was down from 71 percent in the previous two weeks. Last week’s approval of 62 percent was the lowest job approval Obama has ever gotten from liberals in the Gallup poll.

Before last week, the lowest Obama’s job approval had ever dropped among liberals surveyed by Gallup was 65 percent--the level it hit in the week of Dec. 16-22, 2013.

Obama’s job approval among liberals peaked at 92 percent in the weak of May 4-10, 2009.

Overall, 40 percent of 3,563 people surveyed by Gallup in the week of Jan. 13-19, said they approved of the job Obama was doing as president. Fifty-two percent said they disapproved...
